Post Office, Old Town, Hemel Hempstead

Brief
The existing Grade II Listed building was not suitable for the new Disability Discrimination Act Requirements for access by the public coming into force in Oct 2004.

Outcome
Obtained Change of Use for the existing premises. We prepared schedules of repairs for the roof and faced dilapidations. Advised on alternative premises in the High Street for the Post Office and obtained shopfront approval. Commissioned by the Estate Agents, who took over the lease, to prepare shopfront details and also the new Advertisement signage for them.
